A russet-splashed black-glazed jar

宋   瓷州窯系黑地鐵鏽斑紋小罐

The jar is of compressed shouldered form, splashed around the sides with well-defined russet splashes against a deep glossy black glaze extending down to the foot and also covering the underside of the base, leaving the footrim unglazed.  The short neck is also unglazed.
