Two scroll-decorated silver spoons

宋  銀纏枝紋勺兩件

The spoons are slightly differing in the shape of the shallow bowl, one slightly more pointed. Each has a long recurved handle, decorated on top of the shaft in light relief with a panel of scrolling leafy stems. The patina is of an even purplish-brown colour.

Spoons of this type were used for transferring measured quantities of finely powdered tea.
